| The silica core side-glowing optical fibers represent a new class of linear light sources. They are really photonic radiation sources, made of dielectric materials and so avoiding any galvanic potentials or currents. The glowing fibers are fire-safe, flexible (bending radius ~ 10 cm), lightweight, compact, mechanically protective and chemically resistive. Side-emission can be obtained at ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectral regions. Medium power lasers are the most suitable input radiation sources for the glowing fibers; however, the coupled non-coherent light is always side-emitted, as well. |

The offered on-shelf glowing fibers are of length L = 5, 10 or 30 meters. They are terminated with a polished SMA connector at the input end and with an integrated micro-reflector at the distal end. Custom lengths of the glowing fibers up to 500 m (with or without terminating elements) are available upon request, as well as various multi-fiber glowing cables, bundles and assemblies. |
